*20 minute drive from Whitetail Bluff. Beautiful stone grotto and shrines hand-built 1925-1930 on the grounds of Holy Ghost Parish. Guided tours available.

Cassville, Wisconsin:

  • Cassville Ferry–Connects two national scenic byways: the Great River Road and the Iowa Great River Road.  It is the oldest operating ferry service in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Nelson Dewey State Park–800 acre park offers one of the most majestic views of the Upper Mississippi.

*10 minute drive from Whitetail Bluff.

Just a bit farther…

  • Dubuque, Iowa is only 35 minutes from Whitetail Bluff. On the banks of the mighty Mississippi River, Dubuque is the oldest city in Iowa. Dubuque has become THE tourist city in Iowa. Featuring two casinos, riverboat rides, National River Museum, countless historic sites and other museums, and dining and entertainment features everywhere. Also a miles-long riverfront hiking/biking trail, Julien Dubuque’s Monument, and beautiful historic Millwork District loaded with shops, restaurants and pubs.   • Be sure to Google tourism attractions for Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; Guttenberg, Iowa; Galena, Illinois. These beautiful Mississippi Riverfront Towns are all located only 30-60 minutes away from Whitetail Bluff – and they are all very much worth a day trip.
